    Icons
Hello, I bring icons - they're a bit basic but they amuse me and may also amuse you.

ETA: Forgot to say - if you like some, snag away. They didn't take me long to do and I enjoy making them anyway.

    Tonight
The Goodies' Comedy Connections on BBC1 tonight - yes I know it's a repeat and it's annoying if you're into 'Lost' like I am, but what's a girl to do?

    Can anyone help me?
Did anyone manage to record the Winter Olympics episode shown on Sat 4th?

If anyone can help me out with a copy I'd worship you for life.

    *pleads*

I'll pay towards any copy format you managed to get it on and postage.

    Ta in advance.

    Odd
Last night I dreamt I was in a room with The Goodies.

BUT there were the 70's version of them and the 2006 version of them.

I couldn't decide which Graeme to confess my love to.

    Oooh, I have strange dreams.

    The Goodies on TV yesterday...
I was a little disapointed by The Goodies special yesterday.

I was lovely to see them again but it all seemed a bit token "here they are, what more do you want, now we at the BBC are not going to give you any more Goodies for another 20 years, piss off".

For some reason I thought they were going to show an episode, and I was expecting it to be one from the DVD just to annoy the fans, but nope, they didn't even bother.

I LOVE The Goodies and am thankful that we got a little bit of them but the BBC are really not trying hard enough.

Perhaps it would have been a bit more fun if they'd scripted it a bit more.

It was fun though, seeing lovely Graeme who is still so lovely, even if his knees were mostly out of shot there were lots of old clips of him and his lovely knees pratfalling about. Bill is of course exactly the same and poor Tim, that kind of youthful beauty can only fade.

    *sigh*

    more goodies
I read somewhere in the last couple of days that The Goodies are/have made a documentary with old clips and new interviews to be shown at Christmas. I can't remember where I read it but I'm certain I didn't dream it!

    I'm a teapot!!!
Just found this community and had to sign on! I'm in the U.S. where The Goodies haven't been shown in twenty five years, four months, three days . . . a heck of a long time. Anyone else here from the U.S.? There are precious few people in this country who even remember The Goodies! But some of us are on the ball and recognize the Superchaps Three as being the best Britcom ever! Eeh Bah Gum!

    Anything, anytime
Hmm... this place seems very quiet. Time to liven it up, I think... :)

I'll pose a hypothetical question then. Goodies episodes often had a streak of current affairs about them. So suppose they were being written today - what sort of topics might we expect?

    Newbie
Just joined the community, which I found by searching interests. I'm a big fan of the Goodies, and I do have tickets to see them here in Australia on the 13th of March at the State Theatre. I read at the State Theatre site that the BBC are planning on releasing new merchandise in March to coincide with the concerts. Looking forward to it.

    Goodies are coming to Australia
    taken from: here

FOR those of us who grew up glued to the ABC around dinner time in the 1980s, this will be huge news.

Legendary comedy trio the Goodies are coming to Australia in March.

Tim Brooke-Taylor, Bill Oddie and Graeme Garden will premiere a new live show at Sydney's Big Laugh Comedy Festival and perform in Melbourne on March 8.

Organisers said the show would include Goodies bits banned by the ABC, the famous Funky Gibbon sung live and some on-stage tandem riding (subject to insurance, of course).

There will also be a Goodies question time and the lads will sign programs at every show.

    The Goodies rule...OK!
Hey, I can't believe no-one much is posting in here. Have we forgotten already the inimitable trio of Tim, Bill & Graham?

I've got heaps of Goodies on video and have watched them over and over. Think my tapes are nearly worn out. Thank God a few eps have been released on dvd.

"C'mon everybody. lets bounce for Britain!"

    Goodie goodie, yum yum
